Huddersfield Town have added yet another new face to their ranks with the signing of Danish centre-back Mathias Jørgensen.

The 27-year-old joins from Danish Superliga side FC Copenhagen on a three-year-deal for an undisclosed fee thought to be worth around £3.5 million.

The man nicknamed ‘Zanka’, after the character from the 1993 film Cool Runnings, has played over 50 times in European competitions including in last season’s Champions League against Leicester City.

He becomes Huddersfield’s ninth signing of the window overall and their second defensive signing after they signed Scott Malone from Fulham.
