An agreement has been made between French Ligue 1 clubs Monaco and Marseille over the transfer of forward Valere Germain.

Germain scored 17 goals in all competitions this season as he helped his side win Ligue 1 and reach the semi finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The Frenchman however, remained second-choice behind fellow forwards Radamel Falcao and teenager Kylian Mbappe.

Germain will sign a four-year contract with domestic rivals Marseille in the hope of more first-team opportunities.
