Swansea City have confirmed the signing of Tottenham midfielder Tom Carroll for a reported fee of £4.5m on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The 24 year-old is a Spurs youth product, but has made only appeared  for them three times in all competitions this season.

He spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Swansea, and is the former England Under-21 captain.

Carroll is Swansea’s third signing of this January transfer window, after Dutch winger Luciano Narsingh’s arrival from PSV Eindhoven and left-back Martin Olsson’s move from Norwich.
