Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley has joined Watford on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old, joined Everton from Manchester United in 2015.

Cleverley has made only two appearances since the start of November.

He previously spent the 2009-10 season on loan with Watford, who were then in the Championship.

He won the club’s Player of the Season award that season with eleven goals in all competitions.

He has made 42 appearances for the Toffees scoring two goals and appeared 13 times for England.

The Hornets have an option to buy Cleverley on a permanent-basis, who leaves Everton after they signed Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin.
